If we ever hang out, I don’t care where we go – to the movies, the mall, to the bar, to the club – wherever: If we go together, we are leaving together. I don’t give a fuck who you met. Whether you think so or not, from the time we meet up til the time I make sure you make it in your front door afterwards, I am charged with your safety. I don’t care how cute he is, or how well dressed, or if he look like he got money. I don’t care how well you know him – he could be an usher at your church for all I care… I don’t know him! Now once we get you home and I watch you walk through your front door safely, after that you can do whatever the fuck you want to do. But 1.) I’m not ending up on the news cuz you just had to go chill with that dude. 2.) I didn’t realize until the past couple of years just how horrible some dudes can be. And 3.) Because you are someone I care about, your safety is more important to me than how you might feel about it at that moment.
