Present Mood: Alone but not lonely.

Another banger from Donald Glover (Childish Gambino.) This is in my top 10 music videos of all time list. It’s simple but says a lot. More than that, it made me feel some type of way. Lol. 

I enjoy video games related to racing other players and my favorite franchise is Forza Horizon. That is where I first learned of Drum & Bass music, as the theme song “Nocturne” by Keeno is among the best pieces of music I’ve ever heard. Now that I am kinda seasoned in this genre it is helping me discover new artists and this chick ‘Morgan’ is my latest discovery. She is beautiful, and can sing her butt off. I’m surprised I never heard of her before now.

I don’t know who came up with the idea for this video but the aesthetics are unbeatable. The lighting, the background, and the way they interact with the music is what makes this song so memorable to me. Production quality is off the charts. 

The song and the singing are great but what makes this one truly stand out is that they employed a symphony sized string section, and the sound is so rich and profound because of that. I listen to the instrumental of this regularly. For me, the most baffling thing about this video is that it was filmed in 2016. Millie Bobby Brown was born in 2004. That means they had a 12 year old girl mock singing about heartbreak. What?!?!? She did a masterful job, but I stand adamantly that this would’ve been received better with an adult female, perhaps the artist who is actually singing. Fantastic track nonetheless. #MeditationMusic

To this day, the instrumental for this song remains one of the most haunting (but beautiful) pieces of music from the 80s. #MeditationMusic
